What is Invisalign and how does it work?

All orthodontic treatment applies pressure to the teeth in order to break down the surrounding bone to allow the teeth to move into the desired positions. Standard braces use brackets and wires to achieve this goal, while Invisalign does so with custom-designed clear plastic trays, which must be worn between 20 and 22 hours each day. The trays are sequential in nature, so the patient is responsible for switching them out on the schedule provided by Dr. Taskonak in order to maintain the progress of the treatment. Over the course of several months, the teeth will gradually shift into their proper positions. You’ll see Dr. Taskonak periodically during this time to have your treatment monitored.

What is the average cost of Invisalign for an adult?

Each patient’s case is unique, so it is impossible to discuss cost until we meet with you in person.
