DR. MARIA ALEJANDRA MAGURNO, DDS

Dr. Maria Alejandra Magurno obtained her DDS from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas where she graduated with honors in 1998. She worked as a clinical instructor to undergraduate students and volunteered to work in favor on Venezuelan Indians as well as in private practice.
In 1999 Dr. Magurno moved to Boston, MA, to complete an elite 3-year Prosthodontics Certificate Program from Tufts University School of Medicine where she received the 2002 Hitoshi Ito Excellence Award. Tufts University is recognized worldwide as having one of the top ranked Prosthodontic Programs.
At Tufts, Dr. Magurno received special training in the areas of Full Mouth Rehabilitations, Crown and Bridge, Fixed and Removable Dentures, Maxillofacial Rehabilitation, dental Implants, Occlusion and Temporomandibular Disorders, Aesthetic dentistry (all ceramic restorations and veneers) and restorative dentistry. She also conducted several research studies in the Prosthodontics field which broadened even further her ability to analyze and treatment plan sophisticated cases.
Dr. Magurno practiced privately in her country for 13 years. Concurrently she taught postgraduate studies as an adjunct Faculty in the Prosthodontics Department at the Central University of Venezuela. Dr. Magurno was awarded as an outstanding lecturer by the Venezuelan Society of Esthetic Dentistry several times.
Now in South Florida she is a robust addition to the Florida Smile Studio Team. “I believe in Prosthodontics is the dental specialty that combines knowledge, experience, science and art, allowing us to create beautiful smiles through the highest standards of care”.
A member of the American Dental Association, South Florida Dental Association and the American College of Prosthodontics, she also has expertise in Invisalign Orthodontic treatment and Injectable Facial Aesthetics.
